The Government of Delhi on July 31, 2026, notified the Delhi Credit Guarantee Scheme (DCGS), 2026.
The following has been stated:
• The Government has introduced the Delhi Credit Guarantee Scheme (DCGS)–2026 to facilitate easier access to institutional finance for Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) by providing a government-backed credit guarantee to lending institutions. The scheme aims to encourage banks and financial institutions to extend collateral-free or reduced-collateral loans to eligible enterprises, thereby improving credit flow, supporting entrepreneurship, promoting industrial growth, and generating employment in Delhi.
• Under the scheme, the Government provides a guarantee cover against a portion of the loan amount to reduce the lending risk for financial institutions, while eligible MSEs can avail financial assistance for setting up new enterprises, expansion, modernization, technology upgradation, and working capital requirements, subject to the prescribed eligibility criteria and operational guidelines.
• The scheme is intended to strengthen Delhi's MSME ecosystem, enhance financial inclusion, and boost the growth and competitiveness of small businesses in the National Capital Territory.
